Lesson for mobility and strengthening of hands and wrists

The duration of the lesson is 30 minutes

The lesson includes specific hand, finger and wrist exercises, without using weights, focusing on stretching, pressing and strengthening with / through our own weight and strength. Several arm muscles will also be involved. To better understand the importance of our hands and wrists: The hand is a complex organ, made up of 27 bones, 270 cm of blood vessels, 600 pain receptors and 9000 nerve endings, and capable of making countless movements, even the finest ones; as such, it is often exposed to various amounts of trauma that can also impair everyday activities.

PULSE
Hands & Wrists

Strengthening the wrists and hands is an aspect that is not taken into consideration in traditional physical activities. Those who play sports at competitive levels are aware of the importance of having strong and sturdy wrists. Those who practice boxing, martial arts, tennis, volleyball, golf, body building, rhythmic gymnastics and some disciplines of athletics, up to motocross and car drive sport o, know how much the wrists are involved and are decisive. The DANCER (as I am) also knows it, especially those of the "BREAK DANCE" (which has become an Olympic discipline) and those of CLASSICAL AND CONTEMPORARY DANCE. The strength of the hands and wrists is used above all in the "GRABS, STRIKES AND FLOORWORK". But I don't want to talk about "ATHLETES", but about you ... about you, who maybe you are a MOTHER AND HOUSEWIFE, SECRETARY, MANAGER, CLEANER, IN SUMMER ........., A COMMON PERSON WHO MOVES EVERYDAY HANDS AND WRISTLETS CONTINUOUS. Think about it. How many movements do your hands, fingers and wrists do a day? How much are they subjected to effort or continuous repetition of movements every day? It is scientifically proven that; with the age progress, or for other reasons, the wrists lose their strength, while the fingers weaken and lose functionality. But be careful! Natural degeneration has been accelerated in recent years due to compulsive typing in technology, on technological devices such as mobile phones and playstations, and smart working (working with PC's, smartphones or tablets). For this reason, wrist and hand problems are increasingly common even among teenagers and younger adults, due to the constant stress on the fingers, especially the thumb and index finger, which can sore the structure of the hand and consequently also the wrist. They can more easily have bone, nerve and tendon pathologies, especially wrists and hands. The wrists and fingers of the hands, like most of the joints, can be subject to: osteoarthritis, rheumatic arthritis, inflammation, contractures, tendinitis and other pathologies such as the complication of the carpal tunnel. Unfortunately, being a woman already means being more likely to suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome: the female universe (especially over forty) is in fact affected three times more than the male one. This is also due to the hormonal storms that affect pregnant and menopausal women, the most delicate and "risky" moments for the body. There are also some diseases, such as diabetes, or problems related to the thyroid gland, rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia that can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome; as well as long-standing wrist fractures or hand tendon problems not treated properly. Also be careful not to minimize incorrect postural habits: avoid, for example, maintaining a static position for a long time; do not keep your wrist tense during the day and pay attention to how you sleep, no crushed hands or twisted wrists.
